Distributors Franchises

A distributor franchise sells a product supplied by a franchisor in a relationship similar to a supplier-distributor arrangement. This type of franchise typically deals with large products like automobiles and vending machines. Large, national brands like the Ford Company and John Deere offer this type of franchise. Under the agreement, the franchisee is given permission to sell the supplier’s brand in a typically exclusive relationship. In some cases, the franchisor may be a manufacturer.
