Brown Allen, from Oklahoma City, OK., is a full-time engineer by trade. He and his family spend weekends working at local fairs and festivals in and around Oklahoma City. “Our Totally Nutz team consists of myself, my partner, Athena, and my daughter, Aniston, who is 11 years old,” said Brown. “When looking at which events we are going to work, we look for the type of event that we can enjoy as a family. Aniston will work with us for a while and then we let her go off and have some fun, “added Brown. “It is a great balance.”

The Allen family has been very successful franchisees with one of their yearly weekend festivals lasting 7-weeks. “People like spending their time at festivals and fairs because they are a great place to hang out with family and friends while having a good time,” stated Brown. “This event, in particular, is extra fun because people wear renaissance-style clothing and really get in the mood.”

Brown has a knack with finding profitable and fun events. There are many resources available to assist owners with finding and applying to work events of all types. “Totally Nutz training for new franchisees was very thorough, “said Brown. “Learning about all of the resources and hearing how others have found successful events and venues was really helpful as new franchise owners.”
