Rapid Recovery Celebrates 10 Year Impact of Providing Nationwide Refrigerant Recovery!
Peoria, AZ. December, 2012 – Rapid Recovery, the only nationwide refrigerant recovery company is pleased to announce the celebration of its 10 year Anniversary! Founded in 2002, the industry leader has revolutionized the way refrigerant gets recovered in the U.S. "The need for providing mobile EPA certified refrigerant recovery at faster speeds then available to HVAC contractors was what got us started", said Adam Dykstra, President of Rapid Recovery. "Then identifying that using a franchise model to service them and provide national coverage is what's enabled us to expand so quickly." Dykstra went on to explain that "our superior service, backed by local ownership, provides a great partnership for local contractors who need job-site refrigerant recovery."
The nation's largest provider of refrigerant recovery now has 32+ locations from coast to coast and work experience in over 47 states. Rapid Recovery continues to expand to meet the need for EPA compliant refrigerant recovery. Their use of proprietary AHRI certified gas powered recovery equipment, custom tools and applying 250+ years of combined HVAC industry knowledge gives them a distinct speed advantage over "do it yourself" options. Most contractors rely on small electric "buzz boxes" in combination with heavy 50 lbs tanks. Which are slow, inefficient and a waste of their valuable billable time. "Our contractors understand that by not wasting their valuable Technician time standing around on a recovery, they can repurpose it toward more diagnosis and repair – where they make their money. I like to say that we are really in the man-hours-savings business. We can recover as much as 500 pounds of refrigerant in an hour, 10 times faster than your average recovery machine" said Dykstra. This time advantage has been a key tool in their growth and ability to handle any size recovery. "From one unit to hundreds of units, from one pound to thousands of pounds of refrigerant, we've handled it all" Dykstra added.
Then there's the need to document each recovery to meet EPA requirements. EPA compliant recovery is both the actual recovery and compliant documentation. "You can't have one without the other and we lead the industry with ours. In fact, we assume the contractor's liability for every pound of refrigerant we remove and every unit we recover. Our contractors never have to worry about an audit as our process exceeds all their needs" said Dykstra.
Dykstra went on to say "We are seeing continued success as a genuine service company to HVAC, Mechanical and Demolition contractors. Once they try us, contractors realize that outsourcing the refrigerant recovery to an expert can add profitability to their jobs, free up important technician time and meet all of their EPA documentation needs. Refrigerant recovery is our focus and our customers appreciate our impact."
Going strong for 10 years, Rapid Recovery is a "green" company that is protecting the environment. "Our focus on effectively recovering refrigerants significantly reduces the ozone depletion and global warming potential impact of all pounds released each year. In 2011, we recovered over 1.7 billion pounds of carbon equivalent CO2. For year to date 2012, we recovered roughly 4.5+ billion pounds. To put that in laymen's terms, that is roughly the equivalent of not burning 224.5+ million gallons of gas that would have polluted our environment! The impact of providing that many recoveries can be staggering" said Dykstra.
Rapid Recovery just opened up most recently in Atlanta with their franchise partner Todd Beaver. Prompting Adam Dykstra to reminisce on starting the business 10 years ago "I remember when Rich Dykstra, Les Rhynard and I opened up Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco. We spent each day driving our trucks out to visit contractors and supply houses - introducing ourselves, educating everyone on our capabilities and earning their work. It sounds foolish but we had a vision, some know how and a passionate belief we were the guys to explore outsourcing recovery. We just needed to find enough customers to get paid for doing it! Sure, crazy, I know. But that's what America is about" said Dykstra.
